The mind itself is a potent instrument for change, the only one there is.
All change must take place in the mind first,
for all action is a result of thought and the resultant impulse or motivation.
Only through the exercise of willingness, in a consistent manner, is the past undone.
The past is constantly running through your mind;
Your past thoughts determine how you see and react in the present.
The ego’s strategy is to keep the past alive by pre-empting the present;
Thereby assuring a future that simply perpetuates the past.
It does this out of a sense of self-preservation, for in the present the ego does not exist.
