You are always forgiving what never occurred in truth.
You are always forgiving illusions.
This is the basis of real forgiveness.
It is precisely because loss and hurt are impossible,
being different names for the idea of sacrifice,
that forgiveness is real and completely justified.
If “sin” were real and irrevocable, true forgiveness would be impossible.
You could not forgive an act that inflicted “real loss, real hurt” upon you.
You could forget it perhaps, in time, but not forgive it.
The ego knows not of forgiveness.
Its attempts at forgiveness are nothing more than a mild overlooking of “sins”
in order to reinforce its sense of specialness.
The Holy Spirit is the mind of forgiveness.
If you accept His direction and turn your mind over to Him,
He will teach you the meaning and the practice of forgiveness,
thereby transforming your mind.
To extend Love to all is your purpose.
For by so doing, you offer the world the healing it has denied itself.
You are always responding from either Love or fear.
Your function here is to bring Love into everything you do,
and into every relationship.
Every choice confirms your identity as the ego, or the Holy Child of God.
Everything you think, say, or do, is an expression of who you think you are.
Forgiveness shows you the way Home,
and practiced consistently, will take you there.
Real forgiveness comes the closest to Love as It exists in Heaven, in God.
Like Love, forgiveness is given to all, without exception,
and under all conditions and circumstances.
Even here on earth is His Love reflected through every act of kindness,
every helpful gesture, all true giving, and all forgiveness.
God is Love, and in your creation, were you made Love.
There is no Love but God’s.
Whatever you do, you do through the power of Love,
for Love is the motivating force of the Universe.
Without It, Creation would cease,
for God is Love,
and through the extension of Love, He creates.
Love is the most powerful force there is, being the force of Creation Itself.
Love knows no boundaries, no barriers,
but flows everywhere, giving Itself freely to all.
You are Love and Truth;
this is why nothing can ever harm or threaten you in any way.
Nothing in the world you see, the world of form,
is real except the Love which comes from beyond the world.
This Love is of God, and being of God, is also in you.
The Truth has been replaced by a dream in your mind,
while you, the dreamer, have forgotten what you are,
and have lost yourself in a dream of fear and separation.
Truth was never lost; It remains as It always was, is, and ever shall be.
Truth is your Being, your Mind, and your Life.
This has not changed and will never change,
yet you have lost the awareness of what you are.
Love without forgiveness is impossible,
for Love sees only the innocence of God’s Child.
All condemnation is attack,
just as all forgiveness is the expression of Love.
Forgiveness and the renunciation of all attack are inextricably linked.
To refuse to forgive is to condemn.
No one can fail to seek the Truth.
Every human mind is looking for Truth
although you may not be conscious of that fact.
Hope waits upon your change of mind to restore it to its rightful place.
When hope is invested in what cannot but lead you back to where you belong,
despair will disappear and happiness will take its place.
In this dawning realization, at first perhaps just a hint,
a glimpse of what lies just beyond everyday experience,
you have your chance to begin, or at least to consider,
charting a different course with a different guide at the helm.
As you search for meaning, you may begin to realize that it cannot be found where it is not.
It lies not within the experiences of separation,
the limited perceptions of bodies and other objects,
or the conceptualizations that are meaningless in themselves.

The ego is constantly busy defending and maintaining the condition of separation.
If you identify with the ego and turn your mind to the fulfillment of its purpose,
you will not know peace, and the meaning of Love will be lost to you.
To deny this Unity, to shatter It into separate parts with no meaningful relationship to one another,
is the ego’s purpose and the condition of its birth.
The Unity in which all live and move and have their Being,
is the Source of all that is true, good and beautiful in human life.
A recognition of the equal worth of each human being cannot happen on the level of ego mind.
It must arise from a deeper place, a higher state, where all are joined as one.
Purpose is decided on the basis of the value you assign to the meaning you perceive.
If something is meaningful to you, it is because of the value you see in it.
